This carries over to his recognition of Islam, a belief that in its holy book, The Quran, denies the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. By acknowledging Islam, Carney seeks to nullify the influence of Christianity and is probably unaware that in recognizing Islam he is jumping out of the pot and into the fire.
