Just wanted to give Coach @rickyjohns06 a big shoutout for reaching out to us after Zuby left Kansas. At the time, Zuby was averaging just 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game—but Coach John saw something more. Without him, we wouldn’t be where we are today 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Today, Zuby Ejiofor became the first player in BIG EAST Tournament history to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks in a game.

Congrats to Zuby Ejiofor for winning every Big East on-the-court personal and team award he was eligible for in the 2025–26 season: • Preseason Player of the Year • Player of the Year • Defensive Player of the Year • Scholar-Athlete of the Year • The only unanimous All-Big East First Team selection • One of two unanimous All-Big East All-Defensive Team selections • Captain of the outright Big East regular season champions I guess technically he was eligible for Most Improved Player… but he already won that last season. Just an incredible player, person, and leader.

The Johnnies are back-to-back outright @BIGEASTMBB Regular Season Champions for the first time in program history. They are the first program to win consecutive outright regular season titles since Villanova won four straight from 2014-17.

St. John's has now won the Big East regular season title outright in back-to-back seasons for the first time EVER. An incredible couple of years for the Red Storm under Rick Pitino in Jamaica.
