The investigation involved many international nursing candidates, including those from INDIA and HAITI who purchased these credentials to work in the U.S. Over 7,600 counterfeit nursing diplomas (and likely tens of thousands more) were sold by a massive fraud ring (Operation Nightingale). International candidates many from India and Haiti paid $10K–$15K for phony credentials from shuttered Florida “schools.” No real classes. No hands-on training. They simply bought the paperwork, sat the NCLEX exam, got licensed in multiple states, and walked straight into U.S. hospitals.
