The hate speech is in the book, the radio drama, AND the game. You would know if you read the book.

A lot of discourse around it comes from the Game which is IMO pretty bad and has a lot of much worse ideas lol. No need to bring demons or personality matrixes into such an idea. Pretty sure the Hate monologue comes from the game too?

@MinModulation The survivors were all heavily mentally altered. Ted's paranoia is a part of why his storytelling is so unreliable. Its implied in the book, and refrenced, that AM has altered their minds. His line of being unaltered is clearly him being delusional, Ellison makes it pretty clear

Also, to add onto this. Ted isnt crazy out of nowhere. Yes he does have negative traits, as all humans do, but they were exacerbated and worsened by AM through 107 years of torture, same with the other survivors. Ted qas not naturally crazy, AM made him that way.

I didn't read AM as hateful, Ted is just crazy, and possibly killed the others out of his own rage and not mercy. AM didn't regard turning him into the mouthless blob creature as a punishment, but an ethical way to keep him alive, SOMA style. These are just my interpretations.

@MinModulation Its not a reading of the book, its a dramatic telling where the voice actors are in character and playing out their roles from the story. Its about 30 minutes long and has different diolouge. Its not an audio book, its a drama.

@MinModulation Its in pretty big texts? Yoy might have downloaded a PDF that doesnt have the speech due to formatting. There's another copy floating around on the internet thay has the speech itself. I had the same problem

Decoding and trying to understand better when you cant even grasp the IN YOUR FACE message of the story is so hypocritical. You cant make your own interpretation and then go and insult those who enjoy the media and make their own interpretation.

Are you serious? Did you not read the big texts that was about AM hating humanity? The only other way I can see this being an actual argument is that AM'S "hatred" is not real, just a positive loop of satisfaction and gratification from harming humans.
