My point about the lack of proper scouting is simple: without a structured system and the right people to genuinely identify talent, deserving players will always be overlooked, which ultimately reduces the overall quality of cricket in the league.

@CricCritic2 but given his fitness, wouldn’t it have been better to go with a potential pick in Mohsin Riaz? especially considering how QG benefited from bringing in Shamyl (Retained) as an injury replacement for Hassan last year Mohsin can open as well and seems to have a strong work ethic.

Wtf have they done to the league? You cried for the auction, etc and once that was done, now they’re allowed to trade as they wish.

@CricinsightsX Thats where ipl has excelled and provided talent. Their scouting game has been phenomenal outside of domestic/ Ranji competitions & then with almost all franchises having their own HPC to polish & fine tune the raw talent

There was no doubt this would eventually happen — better late than never.
That said, talent scouting remains an area where the PSL still hasn’t truly evolved as a league.
Moving forward, this role must be invested in for the long-term benefit of the league and Pakistan cricket.
