Star Trek TOS was colorblind, which was quite progressive for the 1960's. Woke is anything but colorblind. Good luck with this awful looking show.

Long before the term existed, Star Trek's heart was "woke" & even though that word has been hijacked & made a cudgel to insult, to ridicule & - at the toxic extremes of social media - to justify prejudice & racism, Star Trek's heart is strong & still beating for those listening

@Grand_DM It’s lack of variety of monsters for different environments that frustrates me usually. If you want a monster for an underground encounter you have half a book to choose from. If you’re running an arctic environment encounter for example, you maybe have 3 creatures to choose from

@Gingerblast Agreed. I also always find games that state they are “rules light”, fail to give players what you say as well

Players deserve to have a set of rules to refer to so that they may reliably plan ahead. They should feel confident that if their plan is rules legal, the DM will honor those rules.
This isn't anti-homebrew; homebrew should be written and available to players for this purpose.
