Got interviewed by AI yesterday… Was applying for a Data Collection Specialist role at @mercor_ai and got routed into a 20 mins AI interview where I had to screen share and break down a workflow I built. Used the automation systems I built for @mercor_ai What stood out wasn’t the questions, it was the format, there was no small talks Just: “Provide me a brief.” “How the setup help in managing data flow” “How the workflow help synchronize Data from multiple sources” It felt less like an interview and more like a live evaluation of how you think. Stumbled on the role while researching Mercor on LinkedIn with multiple other roles, wished I could apply for the Content Writer role too but one of the requirements is Dutch, which I do not speak but overall, I didn’t expect the process to look like this. Honestly, interesting direction. Feels like hiring is shifting from “What can you say you can do” to “Show me how you actually think and execute” First time experience for me and I felt good. Curious if more teams start moving this way.
