NASA is heading back to the moon as astronauts board the Artemis II launch pad. Four astronauts will go on a roughly 10-day journey that will take them around the Moon in a lunar flyby. Ok flat earthers… if the earth is flat, where are they really heading?

@ViniDeLaurentis I hope this is not a "trust us" situation, and the Apollo or better protection that was used was omitted, OR that the protection was removed because it "wasn't green," etc. and they end up receiving fatal exposures. Much of today's younger adults learned nothing in school.

@BachelorTrek Exactly, they are well-protected. The spacecraft transits the Van Allen belts through the areas with the lowest particle density, maintaining high velocity to minimize radiation exposure. Just as the Apollo missions did—the ones who literally wrote the manual on lunar transit.

Artemis 2 will pass through both Van Allen radiation belts. Hopefully they didn't skimp on the spacecraft protection!
