Sam Alsheimer (@SamAlsheimer) of @BackpointsGHS is a state champion. He pins Colonel Richardson’s Jordan Gabriel in a flurry in the second period and wins the 195 lb state title in 2A/1A after finishing as a runner-up last year.

.@BackpointsGHS senior Jared Thomas (@jthomas19_) wins his 138-pound semifinal by decision over Oakdale's Wyatt McCoy. Thomas will take his undefeated record into the finals, where he will defend his state title against Owings Mills' Phil Smith, also an undefeated state champ.

2A/1A 126 lbs.: Kevin Hansberger of @BackpointsGHS won a 1-0 decision to advance to the semifinals. He'll have @WMHS_Wrestle's Zach Kirby in the final four.

2A/1A 138 lbs.: @jthomas19_ of @BackpointsGHS won by fall to advance to the semifinals. He will face Oakdale's Wyatt McCoy tomorrow morning.

2A/1A 170 lbs.: Drew Sotka of @BackpointsGHS won by fall in his quarterfinal and is into the final four.

2A/1A 195 lbs.: @SamAlsheimer of @BackpointsGHS won his quarterfinal match 7-2 to advance to the semifinals.
