Absolutely loved Backrooms! Kane Parsons at only 20 has created one of the best horror films of the year and one that will be talked about for awhile! So many scares. Renate Reinsve really shows off her range here! Don’t miss this in theaters when it comes out!
WOW! I saw #Backrooms. Kane Parsons is one of our best new filmmakers! His horror movie is a mind-bending, nerve-wracking nightmare that builds tension with its surreal set design, creepy atmosphere, found-footage style, and performances by Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve.
BACKROOMS is horror stripped to its essentials: a hallway, a door, knowing that you will go through it. Conceptually, it’s a triumph, a nightmare with its own weather. Kane Parsons may be 20 years old but he knows what haunts us.
Kane Parsons’ #Backrooms is wild stuff. A wholly unique and original horror film that freaks you out and creeps you out while luring you deeper into its eerie, liminal nightmare. The kind of movie that gets under your skin and stays there.
For a film full of empty rooms and long hallways, I love how captivating it is from start to finish. It never gives you all the answers, and that lingering mystery makes it even more unsettling. I left the film and immediately wanted to talk more, read more and watch more about it. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve are fantastic anchors in something that is super odd and mysterious, but also very entertaining. Would definitely recommend.
Kane Parsons’ #Backrooms is a TRIP. A brilliant, frightening vision. Beautifully claustrophobic, pulse-pounding & freaky AF. Superb world building, edge-of-your-seat suspense & earned scares. Renate Reinsve & Chiwetel Ejiofor are terrific. Danny Vermette’s production design, a ⭐️
Backrooms billboards have begun appearing in the US.
This particular one was spotted on a very Backrooms type building at none other than Oshkosh, Wisconsin — the very town where the original Backrooms photo was taken.
