In the honor of the Palestinian martyrs, a section of this museum added 1 knife for each counting from the time of the "establishment" of Israeli occupation.
That is, each knife represents 1 year of occupation since 1948, and there must be 77 knives in 2025 there.

I like the PLO and Arafat a lot (though many Shias don't). The civil war is to be blamed on the Maronites and rich Sunni elites for not wanting to share power.

During the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, Israel invaded Beaufort Castle (same place) with hundreds of troops, jets and tanks while around 5-10 PLO members defended it for hours until all fell. The resistance was so fierce that the IDF thought PLO had tens of troops there. Legendary.
