@kev2alks @CalebFromX Did Akademikcs address how he's getting sued by Roc Nation even though Roc Nation's name doesn't appear anywhere on his lawsuits?

Joe Budden says Charlamagne got the BETTER of Akademiks: “I felt like Charlamgne got the better of him. Charla w/ his clear skin is a different monster to deal with. He looked present, aware, & on point.. He’s in the radio hall of fame.” Joe goes on to share that Akademiks didn’t keep the same energy in person that he had online.

@JaeBaexParty @BlackMedia___ Nicki is trapped in a house with a rapist who doesn't like, a dead career, high blood pressure, new lawsuit every day and you're talking about "hope the rock and roll act hits" when Nicki hasn't had a solo hit in 5 years. I admire the audacity.

Beyoncé’s comeback single, “MORNING DEW (DONK),” failed to enter the Billboard Hot 100 Top 25, despite her fans celebrating an early Top 25 projection, taunting other fanbases by calling their favorite artists “flops,” and organizing streaming parties to help push the song to that position. The song also had a “view once” run on the Global Spotify chart, disappearing after just one day.

@TrustMyEars @SickTimesMedia Charlemagne was more linear in thought and delivery, which makes his points easier to follow, but it doesn’t dispel that a lot of what he was saying was still bullshit. So I don’t agree he had fair rebuttals, he had better delivery. Ak makes himself look bad by free styling.

Akademiks sounds like the “Internet” in this entire conversation, Charlamagne was stating simple things Then Akademiks would interject some nut ass talking point from the internet. The deflection, the conspiracies, and half truths is beyond me

@dogfightin2 @JCcannon367061 @PanderShirts They're not viewing them as candid human portraits (which have existed for centuries). Their view everything through the lens of social media content. So (from their perspective) the fact these photos would fail as 2026 IG posts makes them inherently bad.

@SNS_Anon Also, you had no "disgust" over the fact that Nicki married a rapist and sat back as her brother raped his 12-year-old step daughter so the morality card doesn't really work here. It's over. Nicki lost.😢

The disconnect between normies and Hollywood elites is crazy right now lmao. The entire timeline is cooking this 60 year old man, his terrible freestyle, his goofy hair, and even Beyoncé is getting dragged, which feels surreal considering she used to be almost universally worshipped. Meanwhile, people in the industry, especially those under his label, seem to have a completely different reaction to him lol. Post-Epstein and post-Diddy, people simply do not view Jay-Z or Hollywood the same way anymore, and you can genuinely feel the shift in public sentiment. There seems to be a kind of collective disgust surrounding the entire industry, even if people cannot definitively prove that specific individuals are guilty. People have become far more cynical toward celebrities in general, and after everything that has happened, it is hard to blame them lmao.

@Charlotte_BB7 @BadReputationx2 @DameDeadAF Kendrick truly depends on fans like you to turn your brain off when it comes to him. You think because someone says “hey guys, I’m a hypocrite” that we will then turn a blind eye to them being a hypocrite? No, you still will receive the deserved criticism for such behavior.😂

@mesa_mese @Iantuition I don't think any one person should set the standard, but there should be a bare minimum of live performance skill (not necessarily vocal range) for anyone to be considered a vocal great. An artist's greatness can't just live in theories & the imaginations of their stans.

@BadReputationx2 @Iantuition My point is Brandy vocally is an amazing singer live(I’ve seen her life before) and you are trying to diminish that because YOU don’t think her live vocals live up to the standard you think the vocal bible should be

@mesa_mese @Iantuition Because historically live performances were what separated "real singers" from "studio singers". (Whitney didn't become the "The Voice" because of her studio work.) I don't understand why we have to lower the bar for one vocal "great", but not any of the others.

@BadReputationx2 @Iantuition It’s literally not just about her performances. They are not basing it just off performances, they are basing it on her music, her albums more than anything. Why are you bringing up performances?

@mesa_mese @Iantuition I feel like the disconnect is there are more videos of people talking about Brandy being the Vocal Bible than there are videos of her performing in a way that justifies *why* she's the Vocal Bible.

@Iantuition I don’t need to explain shit to you because you have Google like everyone else. You are just being a hater and trying to diminish her vocal ability because you don’t like her and your mad because her PEERS have gave her that title

@m0thafukkaj0nes @winsettati @3LMthree Maybe don't "fuck" Africa (is the point). You have your own culture & celebrities (that you never discuss). You have your own political issues (and you certainly have your own sex predators) and yet y'all stay focused on Americans who won't even fly over your countries.

@freetea123 @quennelmitchell If Brandy is the "guide" or "blueprint" then what is Stevie, Whitney, Aretha, or Mariah or any number of artists (across genres) who were layering vocals before Brandy was born?

@quennelmitchell She’s not the vocal Bible because she’s the best she’s the vocal Bible because she laid the blueprint for technique, vocal stacking and layering and some may fundemental things that many singers use today. A bible is a guide.

Brandy wasn’t a superstar? Having a number one album and movie in the same year while also having a hit TV show at the same time don’t make somebody a superstar?

@GWTW_Fab @beysusaves @NuggyNuggington @Silentbx And now that Beyoncé has outsold Alicia, what's your point? No Black female artist has sold more albums than Beyoncé during her peak (which is still ongoing). At least 6 Black female acts were selling more albums than Brandy during her peak.

Calling Brandy's success "a cute moment" is rewriting history. She helped define what a superstar looked like in the late '90s. Music, TV, film, endorsements, multi-platinum albums, a Grammy, and more. There's a reason so many artists cite her as an influence. That's a superstar.
Louis M. Cypher@lou_m_cypher

The problem with Brandy fans is the way they love to speak so loudly and proudly of a time they weren't even alive for. Brandy had a very cute moment in the late 90s. She was not this juggernaut of a superstar y'all have retconned her to be.
