"A senior Iranian source said on Saturday the U.S. had agreed to release Iranian frozen assets held in Qatar and other foreign banks, welcoming the move as a sign of 'seriousness' in reaching a deal with Washington in talks in Islamabad.
The source, who declined to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter, told Reuters that unfreezing the assets was 'directly linked to ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz,' which is expected to be a key issue in the talks."

APPLEBAUM: Russians aren't winning, despite the absence of United States. Maybe Trump imagined that if the U.S. disappeared, Ukraine would collapse. It didn't collapse. European part of NATO, Ukrainians, and other allies turned out to be very powerful.
It's almost as if Trump is listening to Putin, getting information from Putin. He is not paying attention to what's actually happening on the ground. It's as if he has no information from Ukraine and from Europe at all.

Today, we are bringing our people home.
One hundred seventy-five defenders have returned – servicemen of the Armed Forces, National Guard members, border guards.
They stood for Ukraine across the most difficult areas of the front and at some of the most difficult times, with many in captivity since 2022.
Now, they are home.
Each return is the result of patient, unyielding effort – of those who fight, those who negotiate, those who refuse to relent.
Every Ukrainian must return, and we continue to do everything possible to make it happen.
