@killinghookers @bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann I’m with it idc about trading back I’m good with Blastoise at 22
English

@kidwolfopowers @bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann I mean Slater is already paid, has a guard build and athleticism, Blake Miller was a 4 year starter at RT, Joe Alt is a unit at LT. I think this layout would be elite. Logically it makes a lot of sense if that’s what the conversation was. Even though I get that it’s unlikely.
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann If I were a Chargers fan, I'd hope it's a smokescreen then. I mean, just draft a guard with one of your first two picks and then adress tackle depth in the third or fourth round.
English

@LACMasterBolt @cmsinclair I agree that it’s not an outcome that makes sense or is ideal but if there was a really good offer I could see Hortiz listening. Slater injury was nasty but if he’s recovering well and a team wants to trade a haul I understand listening.
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @cmsinclair Sorry, We’re not releasing him, and the team that trades picks up the future guarantees in the contract. That’s not as bad. Still, it doesn’t make sense to trade away your All Pro tackle when your biggest issue on the team is protecting Justin Herbert. That shouldn’t be a rookie
English

Taking Blake Miller makes no sense. If you’re gonna do the whole kick a tackle inside to guard thing. Why not take Kadyn Proctor who was available at 22?
Peter Schrager@PSchrags
I do two mock drafts every year. One this week and one the week of the Draft. After weeks of conversations, here's what I've got. Have at it. espn.com/nfl/draft2026/… @espn @ESPNNFL
English

@kidwolfopowers @bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann The whole conversation stems from Schrager (Who is pretty well connected around the GM circles) mocking Blake Miller to the chargers. As a thought experiment I’m talking about this as if the Blake Miller smoke is real when the team has two great tackles already
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann If you want a guard, why not take an actual one instead of a converted tackle? This guard class is supposedly very good.
English

@LACMasterBolt @cmsinclair 23M in dead cap if he’s traded based on prorated bonus money… while not nothing it’s not 67M
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @cmsinclair $67M in dead cap before he ever steps on the field. You can’t move him at $67M of money the Chargers are out if they trade him. You’ve got two All-Pro level tackles. Alt can stay on the right side. Slater earned that role and hasn’t done anything to lose it. 2nd highest paid OT
English

@LACMasterBolt @cmsinclair 1. It was reported teams were calling I just reiterated that.
2. You absolutely can move him when Joe Alt is also of the caliber of LT as Slater.
3. It is not giving up on a player to shift positions if he has the ability to do it at a high level and it makes sense for health
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @cmsinclair What are we talking about here. You can’t trade Slater on the 1st year of a record breaking extension. You don’t move an All-Pro player at a position when it’s he’s the blindside tackle. You don’t give up on a player for injury before they ever play a snap.
English

@pat_alex0 @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann Slater has a better build for guard as well as it being a good move for health reasons to take him off the edge. Idc what you’re highlighting I’m having independent thoughts based on the interest in Blake Miller
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann You clearly missed the part where he said Miller would be the one sliding inside so I highlighted it for you

English

@pat_alex0 @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann If there was no Alt id understand the confusion but if they’re looking at RTs than something is on the table as far as a trade or position switch
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann You want to move one of the best tackles in the league inside while lecturing other people on critical thinking lmfao
English

@bolt_dk @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann If there’s no solution at guard found in the first 3 rounds of the draft you think Cole Strange and Penning is cool for 18 weeks… bet
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann So you are paying your guard top tackle money? Please use som critical thinking - lol 😂
English

@alexsil91971332 @cmsinclair If he’s cut not if he’s traded
English

@alexsil91971332 @cmsinclair Dead cap is only 23 million which isn’t terrible if the return was good
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @cmsinclair Yeah the dead cap would be too much to trade him
English

@ItsYeyo95 @BrettKollmann Most teams couldn’t do it but this team employs another player who could be an even better LT in Joe Alt please try to use some creative, critical thinking
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @BrettKollmann Moving one of the best LTs to Guard lol
English

@alexsil91971332 @cmsinclair He’s already paid and he’d be a great guard. It should definitely be on the table
English

@Bad_Luck_BigRed @cmsinclair Kicking slater to guard is the more real scenario
English

@DrotalkSD You’re right they don’t grow on trees but an elite LT is currently playing RT and the conversation occurs when the team hosts a fringe 1st round tackle in Blake Miller on a top 30 visit. I don’t think it’s most likely but it’s conversation worthy
English

He's never played guard. I have no doubt that he wouldn't be capable, but it's not the best use of his immense talent. Elite left tackles don't just grow on trees. The Chargers cycled through around 10 guys in the decade before Slater got here. He's an elite tackle that was paid as an elite tackle. That's where he should play
English

So tired of seeing this. Rashawn is one of the few elite left tackles in the game, all around elite. Elite pass blocker and elite run blocker. He's not a guard. He never will be a guard.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Rashawn Slater is not playing guard you guys.
English

@cmsinclair This 69 million number being floated around is what they’d be on the hook for if they cut him. If he’s traded they’d be on the hook for the rest of his signing bonus (roughly 23 million)
English

The Chargers take on a 69 million dollar cap hit if they trade Slater. Not happening
Sheamus O’Toole@Bad_Luck_BigRed
@cmsinclair It makes sense if one of these two things is true 1. Teams are legitimately interested in trading for Slater and they’re listening for real or 2. Slater kicks inside to guard, Alt slides to LT and Blake Miller is a plan at RT
English

@BoltUpYo Mina Kimes’ show reported that people have been calling and asking about Slater or maybe Slater kicks inside
English

Trade Question for the #BoltFam📊
If the Chargers make one 'splash' post-Draft trade which requires spending their 2027 1st round pick, who should be the target?🤔
Comment if you have a trade scenario that would make you especially happy👇
