The New York Times report claiming that Israel wants to make Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the new leader is completely false.
Right at the beginning of the war, Israel carried out an assassination attempt on Ahmadinejad. In that attack, three of his bodyguards were martyred, while he himself survived.
Since then, he has been moved to a secure location.
Israel is deliberately spreading this lie to create new divisions and instability.

@s_m_marandi I just don’t understand why the IDF doesn’t target Marandi. He is part of the regime. He spreads regime propaganda, he defended the regime killing 50,000 Iranians in a week and he regularly calls for the killing of Israelis. Why does Israel allow him to breathe? @IDF come on!
