What gets me is that so many people have seen me use it, they know what it's for, and they fucking took it. I hate this place.

Today I showed up to work, already overheating...and my icepack was gone. Someone stole the thing I use to keep myself from getting sick and I am PISSED. Manager said I can start keeping my ice pack in the conference room instead of the breakroom so it doesn't go missing again.

For years now I've been using ice packs to regulate my body temperature at work. It's a little embarrassing and I hate how obvious it makes it to others that I have a fucked up body but if I don't I get hella sick.

@alitlstrawberry I was the person that made the diagnosis of EDS for myself and my family. I did the research, I did a complete family history, I came in with citations... I was right, and the rheumatologist HATED it.

every time i see healthcare providers making jokes about “patients who have too much medical knowledge and diagnose themselves with rare diseases,” i think of two different patients in a clinic where i used to work. each of them were convinced they had rare autoimmune diseases.

The phrase “anxious healthy types” makes me see red. I can’t help but hope this person gets the opportunity to personally experience the Hell on Earth that is living with this disease while doctors practice willful ignorance. I was the healthy anxious type in 2020, & now I’m profoundly disabled because I’ve been ignored for 4 years.

Oh boy, I really feel for this patient. Her "angry outburst" is completely justified.

@greenhousemd I regularly thank my mom for getting me the series. She has had to have a few of the cauterizations herself for abnormal cells and I'm so glad I don't have to travel that road. Sounds painful and scary.

I told my mom that her apple pie tasted a little weird this year, and she goes “Really? I always use the same recipe. The nutmeg was a bit clumpy, maybe it didn’t blend well…” She takes out the jar to show me, and after a very long pause, I say “Mom…this expired 24 years ago.”

An obvious thing about Christians is that they don’t read the Bible and have never taken the time to understand Jesus. So I am gonna teach yall. And before you ask what I know about the Bible, I was a theology student, Sunday school teacher and I’ve read the entire Bible.
