Deep in the Amazon, in open nests, the chicks of the cinereous mourner wait for their parents.. These chicks have an astonishing defence from nest predators The moment they are alone, they look & move like toxic caterpillars found in the same trees. 1/🧵

@SteveManx @IfollowtheOne @sciencegirl I did go through a phase where eventually nearly the entire Old Testament was a parable in order to reconcile it to the modern scientific world.

@SteveManx @IfollowtheOne @sciencegirl I don’t normally engage in this topic because I generally believe people’s beliefs seek out their happy mental state. So if you believe a tragic death is offset by entering heaven you’ll be a believer. If you think that God not halting that tragedy shows disregard, then u won’t.

@sciencegirl And still people believe in the evolution theory instead of a Creator. How on earth could a species look to another form of species and change its own dna to look exactly like that other species. No only God thought that is funny to make. Dear God thank You for all the beauty.

@t3nsor @ReichlinMelnick @WalshFreedom One interesting thought I had listening to this I think it’s obvious any illegal here is subject to our laws. You can’t work on a farm for cash and not then legally not file a tax return. The IRS has made that absolutely clear.

Of course Trump is bracing for defeat. This question has been answered for over a century. We had birthright citizenship in the US since before it existed. Dred Scott was a rejection of that basic rule, and led to a Civil War and us writing it directly into the Constitution.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

The Supreme Court is set to consider a pillar of President Trump’s immigration crackdown: limiting U.S. citizenship. Trump seems to be bracing for defeat. on.wsj.com/48059Rq

No! Once Marco’s parents became legal U.S. citizens Marco automatically became an American citizen regardless of where he was born. Anyone born on U.S. soil to a parent or parents of illegal aliens are not automatically U.S. citizens. Four words decide everything: Subject to the jurisdiction. Illegal aliens owe no allegiance to the United States. They fall outside the jurisdiction. History confirms it. Congress had to pass a separate statute to grant birthright citizenship to American Indians. They weren't subject to jurisdiction either. So ask the simple question. If American Indians didn't get automatic birthright citizenship, how do the children of illegal aliens? They don't.

Marco Rubio: “Just because you’re born on U.S. soil doesn’t make you a citizen. Your parents must be U.S. citizens.” Grok: “Marco Rubio was born in Miami in 1971. His parents became citizens in 1975. Rubio is a beneficiary of birthright citizenship.”

@factpostnews It's hilarious, after 4 years of pretending not to notice the LITERAL MOST OBVIOUS CASE OF DEMENTIA IN WORLD HISTORY, how the progressive left clings to ANY little potential health issue that they can with Trump. It's truly amusing!

Show me my $2,000 Doge check and the $2 Trillion in savings they found first. And if you care about healthcare fraud, get a load of this: propublica.org/article/joseph…
Jim Collins@JimCollinsJr

@axios There is so much democrat healthcare fraud that can be eliminated, we could pay for many wars. I would prefer not to use the money that way, but democrat fraud is out of control.

@ghskiff @propublica @robcarpenter81 DOJ should normally not release investigative files since it could negatively impact a criminal prosecution. Only after Bondi insanely declared there were no other criminals in the files could they be released without impacting future prosecutions. Horrible performance there. 2

@t3nsor @ReichlinMelnick @WalshFreedom I knew a lovely family that had one child who was an American citizen. The mother served as a foreign defense attaché and thus interestingly the diplomatic exception did not apply. Hard to imagine her parent’s embassy would not intervene on her behalf if necessary.

@ReichlinMelnick I was thinking more that the the arguments against birth tourism hold up well as the challengers’ appear weak to non existent. Visa’s can be granted for 10 years, how is that a fix? ref:scotusblog/2026/03/the-key-arguments-in-the-birthright-citizenship-case

When you’re not constrained by fidelity to history you can cobble together good-sounding quotes that are out of their historical context and make your argument seem stronger than it is. E.g., DOJ’s briefs cite the views of the white supremacist lawyer who won Plessy v. Ferguson.

@ReichlinMelnick @WalshFreedom I’m not a fan of reinterpretation, but I was surprised by the brief’s strength.
