It is deeply saddening that @facebook / @Meta see nothing wrong with distorting the true images of Auschwitz victims and allows accounts to exist that build their reach through deception. In this case, real information copied from our site has been illustrated with photographs generated by artificial intelligence, which are, in fact, derogatory to the memory of Zygmunt Porębski. What is particularly distasteful is the transformation of the original camp photograph into a bizarre, fabricated composition. A member of his family entrusted us with these photographs so that we could commemorate him on our site. Facebook, on the other hand, sees nothing wrong with exploiting the memory of an Auschwitz survivor. It is a pity that Facebook cannot stand guard over the dignity of the people whose memory we are trying to preserve. See the distorted & real images. Tag people who should see this distortion in your comments.

David Freeman, aka Gunther Eagleman, became a Metro Transit police officer in his mid-40s. He lasted three years before becoming a professional MAGA social media grifter who now sends love letters to Putin. Worthy of a soup?

Andrzej Duda

The parade in Moscow is supposed to commemorate Soviet Russia's victory over Nazism. Meanwhile, the historical truth is that it was Russia - hand in hand with the Nazis, i.e. Nazi Germany - which by attacking Poland in 1939 started the Second World War, in which 6 million of our citizens died! It was not Moscow that saved the freedom of the world! When Hitler invaded Soviet Russia in 1941, breaking the alliance with Stalin, then it was only with the help of the United States and the Western Allies that Russia managed to survive and mobilise its forces. Among other things, through the support of the famous convoys to Murmansk, delivered with enormous effort. And then Nazi Germany was defeated in May 1945. This was done by the USA and the Soviet Russia with the help of the Western Allies. It was a joint victory. Unfortunately, Poland knows well the price of Russia's participation in this victory - after 1945 we were forcibly drawn into the Soviet sphere of influence. And we were left in it, even though we were among the victors and never supported Hitler. From the Nazi occupation, we de facto came under the Soviet occupation, because it was Stalin who imposed the regime and authorities on the Poles. Those who resisted were murdered or imprisoned and were brutally tortured. Communists dependent on the Kremlin ruled Poland for almost 45 long years. That is why we have supported Ukraine, invaded by Russia, from day one - because it is fighting for the same things we once fought for: freedom, independence and sovereignty. Russian imperialism has resurged before our eyes. We know that peace requires strength. That is why Poland spends as much as 5% of its GDP on defence. I once again address all NATO allies to raise this expenditure to at least 3%. Security costs. But not having it costs much more. We in Poland know this all too well.
