Salesforce originally promoted Agentforce as an autonomous AI that could handle customer issues with minimal human intervention. In real enterprise deployments, however, the AI behaved inconsistently, giving different answers to the same queries - creating trust issues, business risks, and higher costs.
To address this, Salesforce added a rule-based scripting layer called Agent Script, forcing companies to define step-by-step logic for more predictable behavior. The fix works, but shifts more responsibility onto CIOs, who must now design, test, and maintain those scripts.
Salesforce embedded Agentforce directly into its SMB-tier Suites - Free, Starter, and Pro - with no additional SKUs, no setup, and no consumption pricing, offering AI record summaries and a pre-built Employee Agent.
In March 2026, Salesforce introduced Agentforce Contact Center, unifying voice, digital channels, CRM data, and AI agents, aiming to eliminate the reliance on slow and costly custom integrations.

The SaaS selloff makes no sense.
The narrative that AI will kill software ignores the fact that the biggest software players actually own and enable the AI.
Microsoft is the perfect example.
People think LLMs will replace them, but Microsoft is a massive investor in both OpenAI and Anthropic. They aren't being disrupted, they ARE the platform. Whether a company uses GPT-4 or Claude, they are likely doing it through Azure. Microsoft owns the very thing people think will take it out.
Then you have Palantir.
Like I said yesterday, Palantir works together with AI rather than competing against it.
Recently, Anthropic’s Claude models were integrated into Palantir’s AIP and made available via Palantir FedStart for government and defense use. An LLM is just a brain, but Palantir is the secure nervous system that allows that brain to work in high-stakes environments.
I don't really see it disappearing when these companies are building the actual foundation the AI economy runs on. The software giants aren't going away, they are just becoming the landlords for the entire AI industry. To me this is a no brainer.
And the "Vibe Coders" are just the new "tenants" moving into the buildings these companies already own.
Not financial advice.
