He's met the target for a successful season (non penalty goals per 90) despite significantly lesser shots. This is good and bad. It means he's a really good finisher, but it also means he isn't generating enough xG (both him and the team need to take responsibility for this). This shows that with more shots, his output can skyrocket.

People love to use any poor performance to push their own favourites (especially if that favourite is injured). Ødegaard is not our saviour Partey was a non-empathetic progressor. His sense of timing was not half as good as Zubimendi With him and Gyokeres in the same 11, we'd be a turnover machine. Teams would purposely leave that lane open as a bait (Partey -> Gyok) and win back possession time after time because Gyok isn't great B2F under pressure

This is bad, it’s just not good enough. At this point it’s net negative to the team. I’ve spoken about it so many times that I’m honestly fed up repeating it. There’s no reason why Timber, who is arguably the most defensive-minded of Arsenal’s defenders, should be getting this many touches in the box. Arteta is essentially giving a 1v1 fullback the attacking platform. People praise Arteta for “performing magic” without world-class attackers, but nothing in his system so far suggests it can truly accommodate and maximize world-class attackers, especially when players like Timber are operating in more dangerous zones than the actual forwards.

Get him on board, double his wages and make him the rotation/first choice CF alongside Gyok while looking for a younger potential WC option
