@BajatomicBlast I'm sorry you feel that way. I think the stuff you made and contributed to were some of the best that the halo modding community had to offer, and I don't think that scene would look quite the same without it. I hope things get better for ya

Yesterday's RINGFALL playtest went incredibly well, so we've put together a few highlights to share with you all. We've also included some WIP music, though we wouldn't really call this a trailer! • New first person view model! • Teammate indicators! • More physics + network improvements. With regards to the teammate indicators: we were exploring relying on the "team rings" that surround your allies. We've found that these make a better compliment to traditional team indicators instead of being the only indicator. We'll be moving forward with this current approach. The team rings will stay. They look too cool to get rid of. There's also more guns being worked on, the first of which we'll show is a weapon meant to bridge the gap between automatic weapons and burst fire weapons. We'll be showing it's gameplay first, as the art is still in progress. We hope you enjoy this small preview, and we look forward to showing more! Thank you for watching! We are choosing to pursue "No Sprint" gameplay within RINGFALL. You will still be able to enable sprint via Custom Games. For the sake of transparency, I'd like to share a bit of why we're choosing this direction for our game. We took a close look at what sprint was doing for our game... then ran a month of test sessions without it. We made a very interesting discovery during this month of slower pacing: Player physics is our sprint. Rocket jumping, grenade jumping, bouncing off of ramps, stacking jumps, as well as a few other bits of equipment we have planned... We already have plenty of ways to increase your speed and find shortcuts around the map. Combat feels tighter without sprint within RINGFALL. Playing with a team feels better, and every decision carries more weight... all while being easier to take in. That being said, we're aware of how cool it can be to set up a jump with sprint that sends you flying across the map. It wouldn't be right to take it away completely, so we'll be including a sprint toggle in case you'd like to create a gametype with it enabled, as well! If you have any questions, we're more than happy to answer them!

I won't be saying much else, but I'm pretty stoked about getting this in, and am pleased with how well it was received when we tested it. It'll be exciting to see how it grows as an evolution of the work we did on projects like CE+ for Xbox.

One more little Christmas present: as a "sorry" for not doing the reveal when I said I would, why not share a little bit from that secret PAX playtest? The purpose of that test? Splitscreen PVP! And I'm happy to say that we are going to have this in the final game.
