I continue to think my bad reaction to alcohol is a fluke and trying again, truly a testament to having a wet ashtray for brains and a rallying spirit

But what I do know is that when the commercial break hits and I see my kids listening to Kap tell them Serena is the best athlete of all time, I feel just a little bit better about what their perspective won't be.

In retrospect these deals seem obvious, but if I imagine a meeting room in 1984, I'm not so sure it was as clear as it seems now. And sure, in the grand scheme 6 pairs of basketball shoes I loved probably wasn't the only thing that shaped my perspective of the world.

Update: landlord texted at midnight last night on his way home from Burning Man to ask why we hadn't paid rent after we paid his $4K+ water bill.

Apartment of horrors update - conversation with downstairs neighbors revealed they have not had a fully functioning toilet in nearly two months. Fully back in apartment hunting mode.
