Why is it always the 'be kind' & 'be tolerant' movement that are so violent? Top hypocrisy. How can people like that be taken seriously? They are not interested in being kind & tolerant. They cannot even have a decent conversation or debate. If you don't agree with them you must die? 🤷🏻‍♀️

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THAT "DEATHLY HOLLOWS PART 1" IS A BAIT-AND-SWITCH FEMALE EMPOWERMENT NIGHTMARE? Writer Steve Kloves REALLY destroyed my enjoyment of the movie to the extent where I don't even care to rewatch part 2 anymore. EVERY SINGLE TIME Harry is supposed to have a heroic moment, she does it instead - AND SHE'S NASTY ABOUT IT. PROOF: At the beginning, you see her BEFORE you see Harry Potter. In the Café attack/escape, she leads the fight and apparates everyone from danger. SHE discovers and explains R.A.B./Regulus research. SHE saves Harry by blasting Voldemort's snake off him at Godric’s Hollow. SHE explains The Tale of the Three Brothers to Harry. SHE does most of the Horcrux investigation and figuring things out. SHE gets several heroic lines and actions that were Harry’s or shared in the books. SHE leads most of the planning and logistics during camping. SHE dominates the locket confrontation and stays composed while Harry struggles. SHE handles the Ministry infiltration. Look, how I stay sane is avoiding Mary Sue porn like this crap. And if they were upwriting her like this 16 years ago, the TV series is gonna be nigh on UNWATCHABLE. What do you guys think?

We know why, right? We know why Joan of Arc, Anne Boleyn, Cleopatra, and Marie Antoinette are ALL BLACK NOW. We know why House Velaryon is BLACK NOW. We know why Thomas Crown and the X-Files: will be ALL BLACK NOW. And most insultingly: We know why SNAPE IS BLACK NOW. Because none of this is about "black representation." It's about erasing white history and culture, one character at a time. Am I the only one who sees this?

Really so upset about this. This will ruin the story arc of a few characters & HBO doesn't care, as long as they can push their racial agendas. Can't believe they finally managed to ruin this franchise. There was so much potential & so much excitement. HBO doesn't even bother to address the real concerns actual fans have with this. They don't care.

Snape really does take the excitement away from this

My excitement level was 11... It's hard to be excited now since everything is about black Snape & the actor's struggles with racism. Like they didn't know it would happen. They did it on purpose so they can call all the fans racist. And they haven't bothered to address our real concerns with it. So they are giving the fans a big 🖕. They need to know where their money is coming from. Without the fans they would be nowhere. The least HBO can do is address the matter. They killed our excitement & they don't care. Wokifying this franchise is unforgivable.

This is FICTION, not real life. We watch and read fiction to ESCAPE reality, not be more wrapped up in it!

@kalliekriel @RealXavier011 Completely understand the approach of engaging with all stakeholders, however, Zuma is a criminal so this is very worrying. The guy should be in jail and shouldn't have any input in our future and you hold meetings with him? He ruined our country! Thoroughly confused 🤔

We discussed issues such as the value of mother tongue education, the promotion of mutual recognition and respect between cultural communities, agricultural development in traditional communities, and Section 235 of the South African Constitution. More meetings will follow. As a civil society organisation @afriforum remains outside of party politics. We are working for the next generation rather than the next election. In securing a better future for the next generation, we are committed to engaging with all stakeholders in South Africa, even though we may differ on certain issues. Most people? I don't believe so. Given his track record of 'jokes' I think it's safe to say he didn't mean age. He did the same when Charlie Kirk was assassinated. And the president already had a few attempts on his life. Perhaps 'joking' about people dying, especially given the circumstances, is not such a great idea. It's in very bad taste and not funny at all. We HAVE to stop treating assassinations like normal and definitely not joke about it. It's sick.

As a COMEDIAN let me say this about that… Jimmy Kimmel out here doing comedy math after the fact. “Oh no, you see… the joke was about the age difference.” Was it? That’s fascinating… because not ONE WORD about age showed up in the setup. That’s like me punching you in the face and then explaining, “No, no… that was actually about climate change.” Well you might say that now… but that ain’t what just happened. Comedy has rules. Not a lot… but the ones we got matter. Setup… THEN punchline. You don’t get to do the punchline first and then hold a press conference explaining what the joke meant. That’s not stand-up… that’s damage control. If the joke was about Trump being 80 and Melania being 50 you gotta SAY THAT. You gotta walk us down that road. You don’t just teleport to the punchline and then act like the audience missed the turn. That ain’t a joke… that’s a BS excuse. And comedians know this. That’s Comedy 101. That’s Day One, open mic, two-drink minimum, “please clap” level stuff. So no… it wasn’t about age. Because if it was, the audience would’ve HEARD IT. What it really was… was a disgustingly bad joke!

I believe we need to start investing in the solution, rather than arguing about who in the past did the most wrong. Invest in education... start with the teachers... they teach the future doctors, scientists, & leaders. Start with the basics & fix that. I truly believe we can succeed 🌱

Because the fact is that 99% of black people are starting from way behind the average white person. Even if you don't want to take away from white people, lots of black people need help.

If you benefited from the crime during apartheid, you should stand up and say sorry and commit yourself to building a fairer South Africa. If you were born after apartheid, acknowledge the mistakes of your parents and commit your life to a more equal and equitable South Africa.

The books do though... they are just on another level. Hoping the new series will at least try & stick to them properly. Nothing major against the movies apart from the fact that they left out half the story, which is understandable if you're trying to fit a whole book into a 3 hour movie.
