Trump would need to hit Khang and destroy infrastructure at smaller facilities like Lavan and Sirri islands. No land campaign and continue the blockade to prevent the importation of critical infrastructure by sea. Trump's Carrot-and-Stick approach will have failed, as there would be nothing left for Iran to gain. Lifting sanctions on Oil sales has little effect once this is done.

Smart tactic: "Battles are won on the field, wars are won in the will". Iran has lost every battle; they plan to outlast Trump's will to fight and/or the nation's/ region/worlds political will to tolerate fuel cost to win the war. I see two issues with this tactic: 1) Trump can continue the blockade through the entirety of his term in office, even if he loses the House. He has enough support to prevent any resolution to shut it down. 2) Pushed Trump could destroy Khang Island and their ability to sell/ store oil, the power grid, and bridges, and leave. Reducing oil sales 90% and forcing Iran to spend years rebuilding the basics. PS PLZ. Note, Sen. Graham has often pushed for just this, a fine line to walk for Iran.
