I swear to god @Sony If ya'll wanted FREE profit. Just give the Destiny Team money. Let the DEVELOPERS make all the choices for what the game needs to be. And just sit and watch the money flow in. What absolutely blind and deaf person running the show said "Yeah you know the once factions who's story has literally never done badly in any way? Yeah lets completely drop those on the floor and do Edge of Fate instead." Like yeah, I think the nine are cool and have potential but how about we do the thing LITERALLY EVERYBODY WANTS??? HELLO???

@AceTheRed @Tecnoguy1 @PhantomZer013 @Gamesager And arc has the least amount of pvp of the 3 which is why I dont play it. Tarkov is also a mix of both with the scavs, rouges, raiders and bosses. It all depends on how hardcore you want the experience to be and before marathon we had 2 polarizing options.Marathon hits the middle

@Tecnoguy1 @BalatroAddict @PhantomZer013 @Gamesager The PVE enemies in Marathon are vastly less interesting than ARC’s. It all boils down to “shoot bipedal robot in the head.” Now will they change that with the recent push to PVE? I’m sure. But for now Marathon plays like a BR with some ammo-dump bots every now and then.

@HoffersonMeave @giancar73012035 Nobodies laughing at your misfortune, the majority of marathons playerbase is former destiny players who are also sad the game is dead. Its not Marathons fault Bungie died. Both games couldve co existed just fine if Bungie didnt massively mismanage their studio

I'm going to say this a million times in case they don't get it: if *Marathon* had been a total success, "Destiny 2" would still be alive, we'd even have the next expansión but you idiots who hated on Marathon, all you managed to do was kill "Destiny."

Just based on the reactions i've been seeing today, it's no surprise that a D3 has not been greenlit A lot of self reflection is necessary now more than ever, because the hate train you participated in was a contributor to today's result

@PhantomZer013 @Tecnoguy1 @Gamesager Marathon has had better numbers than tarkov since launch. The extraction shooter genre is niche but to call it a "flop" because its not immediately beating the anomaly that is arc is ridiculous.

@PhantomZer013 @Tecnoguy1 @Gamesager That just simply isnt true. 1 that completely ignores the people who like a mix of both. Also many people who prefer pvp still prefer marathon. My entire marathon squad each put 1000s of hours into tarkov and all of vastly prefer marathon. Marathon is much more polished.

@PhantomZer013 @Tecnoguy1 @Gamesager It very much differentiates itself from tarkov and arc, it gives an actual pvp experience unlike arc and isnt anywhere near as overwhelming as tarkov. Marathon strikes a balance between the 2 in a way no other extraction shooter has been able to do.

Or maybe people arent as interested in a paid extraction shooter? Battle royales were quite popular when Apex released and the game offered something different from what was on the market, and also they exceled when it came to movement. Marathon is fine, but outside of the artstyle(which some people really hate), the game excels at nothing compared to Tarkov or Arc

I got into Destiny very late in the franchise w/ Lightfall. I very quickly fell in love with the game and finished basically every raid and dungeon, even pantheon. I only played for about a year before quitting but its still incredibly sad to see it go like this
