So, it's been a long time...
It has been over 6 months since I was last active here.
The most obvious question is:
Did I quit?
Answer: Both
Let me take you through the last 6 months.
Last spring, I lost two clients, my retainer client couldn't pay me for two months, and another major project experienced a four-month payment delay.
During this period, I had to pay my taxes and live with no real income.
It was also the end of my 3rd year at university, and I was writing my thesis.
That means I had no time to find new clients.
Sh*tty periods require major decisions.
I convinced myself that freelancing couldn't be my main source of income and that I am not good at it.
So...
I contacted a friend to help me get a job as fast as possible.
He helped me, and I was hired at his firm as a marketing assistant.
After that, I moved in with him to share rent and live cheaply.
During the 3 months I worked there, my confidence in my own skills improved.
I realized my marketing knowledge wasn't that bad and that I had potential.
I quit after that in September.
@NAndreicu allowed me to work with him and create static ads for a brand.
After that, I also joined @ecomtalent.
Then I took another small project.
Slowly but surely, I am stepping my foot again in the freelancing world, but with a new mindset.
I am learning how to do ads, how to make sales, and eventually work as a creative strategist.
It's the same journey, but I'm walking on a new road.
