A wonderful day at the theater for Tillman Middle School 8th Grade! Thanks to a grant from the BCEF, students were able to see The Diary of Anne Frank at the Herberger Theater. Thank you to Ms. Butcher and Ms. Kemp for planning this trip to coincide with their ELA coursework!

The Phoenix East Rotary @RotaryPHXE recognized two Brunson-Lee Elementary School students as the Rotary Students of the Month. Each student was presented with $50 and a certificate at a special lunch hosted by the Phoenix East Rotary Club. Congratulations, Yair and Angel!

Ms. Alexis Wilson, Assistant Superintendent, read “Elmore” to Griffith’s 3rd graders at KidsRead on Wednesday. Each student received his/her own copy of the book. KidsRead is a signature program of the Balsz Community Education Foundation.

Thanks to a grant from ON Semiconductor @onsemi and the Balsz Community Education Foundation, Brunson-Lee 4th graders built and tested solar-powered model cars, making connections to the text they have read about green transportation.
