I built Redis from scratch. Then I made it distributed. ☠️ What could possibly go wrong? 15 days later I have: • Gossip protocols • Consistent hashing • Cluster membership • Request forwarding • 5 database nodes talking to each other ...and a damm bug that made me cry!
