@Grachidex I switched from a Blackberry (Bold 5) in 2012 to buying an iPhone 5s in 2014, thinking iphone was the best since I had never used an Android before. Not until I tried the Google Pixel in November 2025, i nearly cried. I realized how much I’d really been missing on android.

@Bloseptnew A 19-year-old boy is living quite independently. At just 19, he already owns three luxury cars, two houses, and lives on his own. I see him every day. He’s a farmer, and he told me he has no formal education or inheritance. I fit double his age. But in all give thanks.

THE SPIRITUAL COST OF YOUNG MEN SLEEPING WITH OLD WOMEN Men, listen carefully. A lot of young guys out here are trading their future for quick comfort with women old enough to be their mothers and even their grandmothers. What looks like “opportunity” is actually spiritual debt. And the price is your masculinity, your mind, and your destiny. A Thread 🧵. 👇🏽

I thought I had found the man I would marry. We were together for 2 years. He had a good job and always said he loved my intelligence and drive. Last week, he finally agreed to visit my family in the village. My mum was so happy. She spent her last money to cook a special meal and even borrowed a better seat so he would be comfortable. But when he arrived, his attitude changed. He barely spoke, barely ate, and just looked around. Two days after he left, he sent me a message I’ll never forget. He said he’s “a man of class” and can’t marry into a family where he’ll become the only hope. He said my background would “pull him down.” Before I could even respond, he blocked me everywhere. He didn’t see the love in the food my mum cooked. He didn’t see the sacrifices she made to raise me. He only saw where we came from. My heart is heavy. Is it now a crime to come from a humble home? Does my hard work mean nothing because of my background? 💔

In 200L days, there is this kind of bakery in front of our house, Bobson Bakery in Oru-Ijebu. I’ll go there after school hour to work as a join labor. I’ll arrange baking pans and assist to mould dough, then re-arrange it back to the stands. At night I’ll assist them to arrange the baked bread too. Next day, I’ll go to class as if nothing happened. The day I stopped was when the workers started complaining, cos they do deduct N50 each from their money to pay me.

I intentionally avoid everyone attempting to be my friend. I ignore messages and invites. I go out alone and avoid eye contact at work and everywhere else. Most of the time I’m listening to music on my AirPods, at the gym or playing games. I’m genuinely tired of watching everyone I befriend turn into an enemy everytime I stand up for myself when they cross a line. I’m tired of dumbing myself down for someone else’s benefit. I’m tired of backhanded compliments. I’m tired of being treated like an afterthought. I’m tired of keeping people that only show up only to talk down on me but are never there to celebrate with me or encourage me.

Lol, Dude was doing so well. We met through his cousin and decided to work things out. One day, guy man took me to his newly built duplex in Asaba. He just completed the house and thought to take me there. Immediately we got his house, he hurriedly entered kitchen and offered me a glass of water. I told him that I wasn’t thirsty, he replied that I shouldn’t reject anything he offers me but I insisted that I wasn’t thirsty. The senior sister screamed from her end that it’s a taboo to reject water in their place but I still insisted I wasn’t thirsty. He angrily returned the water and his attitude towards me changed. After we left his house, he stopped calling and whenever I call, he doesn't pick. That was how they cancelled the marriage because I simply didn’t take the water they offered me. Lemme make open confession. The reason I turned down the water was because he offered me water in an open glass cup. So many things ran through my mind like what if he added something inside the water. If he had given me bottle water, maybe I wouldn’t have turned it down. Should I blame it on nollywood 🌚 Was I wrong by turning down the water? Or maybe it was God's way of cancelling the wedding 😏
