openai found a way to keep codex in the hype cycle 24/7 without spending a dollar on marketing.
every time users hit their limits they beg for resets and tag tibo everwhere. tibo drops a hint or engages with a post. community goes wild. reset drops. cycle repeats.
openai didn't spend a dollar on this. users did the marketing themselves.
and tibo plays it perfectly. showing up in replies, teasing resets, making it feel like a community instead of corporate decision.
anthropic has nothing like this. no engagement loop. no tibo equivalent.
codex stays in the hype cycle 24/7 because of usage/reset limits.
definitely genius whether it was intentional or not.
