MMS JAZZ BAND UPDATE: Due to additional student interest, more auditions will take place next week. (This is a good thing‼️) The final Jazz band roster will be posted next Friday, October 8 Jazz bands first rehearsal will be Tuesday, October 12 @ 6:30am. Arrive at 6:20.

6th graders are up to #10 in the band book! PARENTS - ask them to play it for you! 👍👍👍🎶🎶🎶

Ayden says, “3 notes‼️” 6th graders have learned three notes so far in band. Their homework is to play them for their parents over the weekend 10 times!

PLEASE NOTE: this picture 👆does not mean everybody gets to hit a drum. Only percussionists gets to do that! 👍

Of course, if weather does not allow we will continue working on rhythm and counting skills as well as do more bucket drumming to reinforce basic rhythm concepts and counting.

UPDATE ON PLAYING INSTRUMENTS‼️ As we wait for the instrument bell covers to show up (thank you for being patient) in order to be able to play inside, we will be going OUTSIDE to play - weather permitting. Please dress accordingly.
