Just saw this posted as a joke because some of the Roman alphabet sounds match with more than one Thai alphabet sound. Actually, I would have loved something like this when I started learning Thai.

Got cheque few days ago from insurance. Pity, no chq deposit machine to be found nowadays & no choice must visit bank personally today. Bank; “this takes few days to clear & there’s some small fee ; u okay with it ?” Me ; “any chance by not paying any charge ?” Bank; “well, you need to open account same district as this chq which 30km from here” Me; “no, thanks think I’ll take another option”, “ oh& I hope there’s still money left from those small charges”

I was just asked for 5 baht by a woman in Phra Khanong. She completely blindsided me and it occurred to me, I can’t remember when I was last asked for money in Bangkok ever. I don’t know if it was a one off or a sign of the times.
