Please consider sending the car via train to a lot in Johannesburg so you can reduce driving time to 5 hours.
I don’t know how much it costs to do that but for a 1700km trip you’re looking at 4 full tanks which works out to be +/- 4k.
Comments are advising that you split the trip into two and get some rest. That’s accommodation plus food which pushes average expenditure to 5k. That’s 10k for a return trip.
Even if the price is similar, I imagine you’d be a lot less tired.

I have been an absent father for 12 years because I was not ready to be a father. Now I am ready and I want to be present in my child’s life. My baby mama is now married and another man has been raising my child. I sent her a WhatsApp asking to see my child, but she refused and blocked me.
I am a peaceful person and I don’t want drama. I respect her marriage and don’t want to cause problems. I just want a chance to see my child.
