Want to turn “just one hour” into a movement in your school? The latest State of AI + CS Education Report shows that as more schools offer foundational computer science, access and opportunity grows. We believe every hour of AI + CS education counts, and that with consistent class time, those small hours add up. Whether you start with a single lesson or build a full course, including regular blocks in the schedule gives students the time to develop real skills. Make AI + CS education more than an add-on. Embed it, build it, and help students become creators, not just consumers of technology.

Thank you North Carolina! We have made history together by taking back the Lieutenant Governor’s office after 12 long years of extreme Republican control! I am honored and humbled to stand before you as your newly elected Lieutenant Governor! I want to start by acknowledging the incredible legacy of my dad, Governor Jim Hunt. Even though I was just a little girl growing up, I witnessed firsthand the importance of strong, compassionate leadership in shaping the future of our state. My dad, like so many other great leaders in North Carolina's history, is a shining example of what we can achieve when we come together as a community. And his legacy is what fuels me to serve the greater good in our state. Like you, I am hopeful for the future because I believe in the power of the next generation of leaders to continue pushing us forward. Leaders like Governor elect, Josh Stein, Attorney General-elect Jeff Jackson, and others. As your Lieutenant Governor-elect, I will fight hard for women's reproductive healthcare, bring attention to the urgent needs of our public schools, and usher in more clean energy jobs for a sustainable future. But the work is far from over. Now, the real work begins. Together, we will build a stronger, more inclusive North Carolina where every voice is heard, every family is supported, and every community thrives. Thank you, North Carolina, for trusting me with this incredible opportunity to serve as your Lieutenant Governor. Let's get to work! #ncpol

Alabama Makes History! 📚 Computer science is now a graduation requirement! 🎉 This groundbreaking move paves the way for a new generation of tech innovators. Studies show CS boosts jobs, earnings, and especially helps women, minorities, and low-income students. Governor Kay Ivey said,“For our nation to be a top competitor in today’s global economy, ensuring we prepare our students through computer science education is not only important, it’s necessary,” said Governor Ivey. “I am proud Alabama is doing our part by requiring a computer science class to graduate high school and marking it as a College and Career Readiness indicator. We are putting in the time and resources so our schools are fully prepared to implement this needed change. As I say often, strong students lead to a strong Alabama, and a strong Alabama is our goal.” 🔥 Which state will be #12? 👀 Let's keep this momentum going! ⬆ 📈 Share this post and tag your legislators to encourage CS expansion nationwide. 🫂 @GovernorKayIvey @egmackey @CS4Alabama @AlabamaAchieves @CSforALL 🫂
