9 months ago, me and my co-founder @freeguy__ started Bread Africa with a simple idea:
Make crypto → fiat as easy as sending a text.
No KYC.
No sign-ups.
No friction.
Just swap and go.
People said it wouldn’t work.
Too early. Too risky. Too unconventional.
We built it anyway.
People used it.
They shared it.
They trusted it.
That was all the validation we needed.
Today, that journey hits a major milestone:
Bread Africa has been fully acquired by @sirmapy of @smcdao and is now evolving into @SwapwithBread.
This wasn’t just an exit.
It was a strategic move.
One that gives us the freedom to go all in on something much bigger.
Because while building Bread, we realized something:

So we started again.
Quietly.
