@UnitedCanucks26 lol… if they are going to involve themselves in Cuba, Greenland, Israel, Gaza, Iran, Canada, Venezuela etc etc then yes… Canada 🇨🇦 has every right to involve themselves. America is a run away school but with a drunk man man at the wheel. Someone needs to stop this craziness!!

@Loritmbf @KieserBill To be fair he rarely answers any reporters direct questions. 🙄😂
English

@KieserBill If answering a reporter’s question should lead to arrest and criminal charges then Poilievre would be in jail for his election “crimes”.

@heather_br55561 @ABDanielleSmith So ya… actually it’s not a “huge” one.

I want to thank the United States Congress for voting to end tariffs on Canadian products to the United States. Tariffs between our two countries causes higher prices for American and Canadian consumers and decreases business competitiveness on both sides of the border.
Canada and the United States have a very special trade and military alliance that we should be working to strengthen.
Alberta looks forward to working with the Congress and the U.S. administration towards a tariff free future between our great nations.

English

@heather_br55561 @ABDanielleSmith Do you actually understand how the Dairy Tariff works? It doesn’t even kick in until a really large quota of US product already comes over the boarder tariff free. It’s not really a straight forward “tariff”. Check it out here: dairyfarmersofcanada.ca/en/it-true-can…
English

@heather_br55561 @ABDanielleSmith Um… what tariffs? 🙄
English

@ABDanielleSmith Will Canada end their tariffs on US products in good faith? Doubt it...Quebec and Ontario are too greedy.

Agreed. There's plenty to criticize about Carney's government but mischaracterization of things he's going right just because he's the one who did seems like a pretty sure way to keep losing elections.
Like read the fucking room already... around 80% of Canadians agreed with what Carney did. Repeatedly telling them they're all wrong is an interesting strategic choice.

I was curious about whether the Prime Minister’s Davos comments on a strategic economic relationship with China were fully compliant with Canada’s obligations under CUSMA.
Article 32.10 requires advance notice to our North American partners before negotiating a free trade agreement with a non-market economy and outlines serious consequences if such an agreement proceeds.
Reports that the Prime Minister later walked back or clarified those remarks suggest an awareness of these risks. Mishandling this could undermine CUSMA, forcing Canada into separate bilateral negotiations with the U.S. and Mexico.
Canadians deserve clarity: were the required notices given, and was the full impact on our North American trade relationship properly considered?
Trade policy must be transparent, deliberate, and rooted in Canada’s long-term national interest

@LeslynLewis I don’t really think allowing a limited number of cars into our market at a reduced (but not illuminated) tariff rate is even close to signing a Free Trade agreement. Also it doesn’t sound like the PM walked back any of his remarks.
English

@Jayde8700 @KevinEg62341762 Wow… how to prove your ignorance in 7 words or less. Sigh…
English

People aren’t “misinterpreting” Carney.
“The old order is not coming back” is code for: voters don’t get a say anymore. Decisions get centralized, dissent gets framed as a problem, and sovereignty becomes an inconvenience.
When politicians talk about ending the “old order,” they rarely mean their own power.

@StaceyMonette27 Don’t know why you think this is a bad thing? He’s basically saying to Trump “Hey when you are done your temper tantrum and want to talk like grown ups, call me… until then, I’m seeing other people”.
English

@MarcNixon24 I hope President Trump starts running ads in Canada explaining the benefits of Canada joining the USA. The quicker Canada joins the less suffering Canadians will have to endure under the Carney clown show government
English

@JPChamberlainX @MarcNixon24 @realDonaldTrump Yep 👍 Keep taxing the crap out of US citizens. That will sure teach us!! 😜❤️🇨🇦
English

@MarcNixon24 Clearly, 10% more was not enough.
Dear President @realDonaldTrump -- please triple the tariff on Canada, and continue increasing it until they fully learn the consequences of pissing on our shoes. Thank you.
English

@TheoFleury14 Seriously? It baseball Theo. You are better than this.

Should Santander be on the ALDS roster and if so, where should he bat in the lineup? 🤔
