A deep and cool ❄️ exchange with @EmileHeskeyUK ⚽️ at our @LTTsports 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 debate on his journey through the game, from being spotted at school and joining @LCFC at 9, to over 600 professional appearances and life at the very top. Ok, let me go straight, what stands in the discussion we had was how different development once looked: less structure, less data, more freedom. Football was about playing, trying things, failing, learning and enjoying it. As the game evolved, Emile experienced the rise of GPS, video analysis and performance data, especially later in his career. Valuable tools, yes for sure but never the foundation. The foundation was always inner drive, environment, trust from coaches and the confidence to express yourself. Great coaches didn’t overload him with tactics early on. They built belief, clarity and togetherness. They understood the difference between coaching and managing. Today’s challenge is balance: using technology without killing instinct, structure without killing creativity, ambition without killing joy. 🗣 “Football has to be fun first. When you lose that, you lose the player.” Take note of that ahead of the finals at #StomilCup2026
