The children were amazing and played really well for their first competitive taste of Dynamos Cricket. We won the first game against Milton Park by 57 runs and took 7 wickets. Then we beat Bournville by 49 runs taking 2 wickets. We lost no wickets in either game.

The Hedgehog class vegetable patch is taking shape! The children worked hard preparing the soil and carefully planted tomato plants, beans and sunflower seeds.

Thank you to our Year 5 parents who supported the children in learning about types of evidence (History) and why Banwell is sited where it is (Geography). We are aiming for every Key Stage 2 class to have termly field trips. To learn more, see the Geography page on the website.

This week, all classes in school will be learning about Online Safety at an age-appropriate level. Mr Davis met with the school's Key Stage 2 Online Safety Champions on Tuesday, and we have started to put together a Key Stage 2 assembly about staying safe when playing Roblox.

Squirrel & rabbit class had Josie from Somerset Cricket Club join them on Friday.

The year 6's are on schedule to arrive by 3pm. Please arrive for 3pm and wait at the bottom of the drive. They may need some help unloading their suitcases. They are all very tired. We hope they've had great time.

We’ve climbed the high ropes, swum in the sea, walked half the north Devon coast and slept. Heading home soon. We’ll let you know our progress up the M5.

Day 3 and we had a really good sleep last night - all needed waking up at 7.30 this morning after a 6 mile walk and surfing yesterday. Climbing today and we’ll see you all at home.

For Day 3, we have the high ropes and archery before heading home. It’s been a great two days so far!

Day 2 at the Ultimate Adventure Centre in Biddeford and we spent the day surfing at Westward Ho! and then walking back. Dinner next, then some games before bed. Mrs Parker is on 20,795 steps for the day - we should sleep well tonight!

Yesterday, we kicked the trip off with the assault course. One child managed to get all of the way across both inflatables and then into the pool. We had a camp fire in the evening and then sleep.

Our second day at our Year 6 camp has started and it couldn’t be a more beautiful day for surfing. We will surf at Westward Ho! this morning and then walk back along the coast path.

Our Year 5 and Year 6 girls have the chance to shine at football today, representing Banwell Primary at the Loxton Campus in WSM!

So, round two of Banwell vs Sidcot boys football this evening, this time at Sidcot School. Well done to the Year 5 and 6 children who put so much effort in, on Monday. Mr Farmer has lots more competitive fixtures in the planning, for boys and girls in a range of sports.

Well done to all of the children who took part in tonight's North Somerset Dance Festival at the Playhouse - you were amazing! Thanks to Kirsty for leading the group so well, again.

Welcome to Josie from @somersetccc who has been coaching children across the school today. We will see her again for two more sessions this term.
