I’m thinking this needs to be pinned to the top of my page. So many misunderstandings can be cleared up just taking the time to really listen to this. youtu.be/0bPP56-7-xs

Christ forgives sins, and He gave priests the authority to forgive in His name. Confessing to a priest is Christ Himself offering mercy and healing, not a barrier between you and God

Absolutely! Protestants should note that even Luther and Lutherans still believe in confessing sins to our priests thebookofconcord.org/smalcald-artic…

@sola_chad We are given scripture telling us to confess to one another- important given our sins offen involve another person. Can you provide the scripture where it says we should confess only to God.

Since it obviously needs to be said again. The MEANING of the ashes is given you in the words that accompany their application: Remember, O man, that thou art dust and unto dust thou shalt return. They are NOT a sign of fasting, but of DYING. They announce: Dead man walking.

@drippinholyoil @LutheranAnswers I know what we believe, you do not. Yes baptism saves as scripture explicitly says multiple times. We do NOT believe that baptism is our work, or something extra on top of grace. We believe it is one of God’s(not our) ways of giving us His saving grace.

Yawn....... Lutherans DO believe baptism saves. I know a lot about other false doctrines on the Christian tree 🥱🥱 Baptism is a work and something extra. We're not saved by getting wet. Are you saved by taking a bath? 🤨🤨 It's not ONE OF THE WAYS of getting SAVED. We are saved BY GRACE and GRACE ALONE. John 3:16 go read it.

@drippinholyoil @LutheranAnswers 1) We're confessional Lutherans. 2) You have absolutely no clue what we believe. Baptism isn't something extra stacked on top of grace. It's one of the ways that God gives us His grace. 3) You don't have to be an ass, you choose to be.

@BaptizatusSum @LutheranAnswers Wrong. You Catholics believe In baptism leads to salvation, y'all believe in WORKS, y'all don't believe in grace 110%. Then don't say something stupid and I wouldn't name-call. I didn't lose any argument whatsoever on Twitter 😏😏

@LutheranAnswers How would you respond to R.C. Sproul when he points out the Catholic Church ceased to be a church, when they rejected the Gospel at the council of Trent? -an Lutheran LCMC (raised Catholic)

Hey y'all! I obviously have disagreements with the Roman Catholic Church, but I would just like to point out that Roman Catholics are still Christians. Unlike the Mormons, who are a hell-bound heretical cult. Have a great day!

The apostle’s creed is much closer to what Paul means when he says “if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth” than the sinner’s prayer.

Infant baptism is the purest picture of the Gospel. The baby does nothing to earn it. He’s just held by his mother as the Triune God places His name on him. The baby did nothing. He made no decision. That’s anathema to those who believe that they were saved by their decision.

@LutheranPrince As a scrupulous over thinker personally, I think this is more of a problem certain people have than a theological one, so long as we're talking about sacramental traditions. Once you get to those who deny the sacraments then you definitely have a point.
