On 25th February 2026 we installed HATPRO (Humidity And Temperature PROfiler), a microwave radiometer for the retrieval of atmospheric temperature and humidity. For the first time, high-precision, continuous vertical atmospheric profiling is available in the city of Rome! 🌍📡

BAQUNIN expands north! 🌍 New #Pandora instruments are now operating in Milan-Bicocca and Aosta (ARPA VdA), with another soon in San Pietro Capofiume (CNR-ISAC). These sites will investigate #NO2 and air pollution across the Po Valley, one of Europe’s air quality hotspots.

🇨🇦🔥Canadian smoke over the sky of Rome! After Saharan dust on June 7, SKYNET detected high AOD again on June 9–10, with a high Ångström exponent and an increase in fine-mode particles. A near-zero depolarization ratio confirms small, spherical particles typical of smoke plumes.

The @BaquninProject team is present at the 10th International Conference on Meteorology and Climatology of the Mediterranean which is being held in Toulouse (France 🇫🇷) from 19 to 21 May 2025 with different scientific contributions.
