Also. First time I encountered @LebohangWrites was at her performance at Kitcheners in 2013 or 2014 and I was obsessed with her work from that moment 🥺 that whole street was so much music, art, poetry, culture man 💛

I never thought I’d say this but the late 00’s and 2010s were an iconic era in Johannesburg. Remember when the Braam & Juta str revival were peak & new? When Cafe Post was there & Dokter & Misses? Neighbourgoods at its zenith? Wolves in Illovo? The explosion of bands?
