When you don't have spare income and clubs or groups are charging money to attend sessions plus cost of transport, it means that lots of working class women/girls just don't bother getting involved.

The lack of fully accessible spaces for Muslim women in football is why we created @BarakahLdn. Many of the women & girls who come to our session had previously stopped playing due to the lack of spaces that fully accommodate their needs & how expensive it can be to play sports.
