Status before DraculaN playoffs start -> FaZe needs 2nd place in DraculaN to qualify for the major as it looks right now! (more context below👇) DraculaN 6 playoffs begin today, where Aurora and FaZe will enter the event among 6 other teams (see bracket). For Aurora this has turned out to be an event they would rather not play after all, but it is easy to say in hindsight.. They now just need to not lose 2 matches early which would put their stage 3 spot in danger if Spirit plays HLC Belgrade. It is MUCH more interesting to look at the FaZe situation! This will be FaZe's last change to make the major for all we know and they actually need to do pretty well here to be safe for the major after this event. Their opponents in the bracket for a clean run (5-0) are projected to be: aimclub->Passion UA->Monte->Aurora->Aurora FaZe's major chance depending on placing as per my simulations: 1st place -> FaZe is ready for the major 100% 2nd place -> FaZe is most likely ready for the major. 3rd place -> FaZe will most likely miss out on the major, but there are a few outs if enough of the other teams mess up. 4th place and lower -> FaZe will not qualify for the major Pretty brutal task for FaZe! There are variations of course depending on which opponents FaZe gets in the bracket and especially depending on whether they drop to lower bracket. But based on simulations, this is what the situation looks like for FaZe before the event start.
