@Fran_klymydear I felt the same way watching Ilia skate last night as I did watching Jason's free at Nationals.

It was awful watching Ilia completely lost halfway thorugh his program and in a visible state of shock afterwards, but I think this might become a pivotal moment for his career to evolve and it may end up being a blessing in disguise if he's able to work through it.

@emmecaffettino I watched on the live feed in the afternoon AND the primetime broadcast last night and never saw this. It's either AI generated or such a fleeting moment as to be nowhere near the drama this post implies. Was he effusive in his comfort? Not, but Ilia was holding it together.

@alyssaleann The first thing Roman said when Ilia came off the ice was " Are you ok?". I heard it clearly on the venue feed live in the afternoon, but not on prime time. I watch enough skating to have seen their dynamic. They are never very effusive. 1/2
