@em_bee_kay Just to let you know, JFK Jr.’s dialogue with Arthur Schlesinger Jr. about JFK was in his mother’s oral history, released in 2011. So the CNN JFK Jr. documentary is certainly not the first time the poignant commentary has been heard.

So you see that the “no immediate survivors” label in Justice Souter’s obituary neglected his innumerable friends, colleagues, clerks, and admirers of his public service. He was a gentleman whose essence was integrity, so rare among today’s government officials.

Plus, Justice Souter had a great sense of humor and even laughed on the bench at his New England accent when a counsel thought he said “floor in the argument” when he meant “flaw.” RIP, Mr. Justice.
