Been busy building more shelters for our animals. We scored a bunch of pallets from the local dump, so we turned them into shelters. Dave has been a big help. We have more content on our Patreon where you can support our animal rescue efforts.

@epyleptiknz A friend of ours saw what we were doing with pallets. He loves the idea. He has a source for them. So he is going to pick up a whole heap for him and us.

@BareCamp Got to love pallets. The dump is such a sad end for anything that versatile. Got them in the yard, the shed and garage. Trying to convince the missus that they'd work as a good replacement for the trellis shelter that got blown off the deck last year. It's proving a hard sell.

For all those asking about Michael. He is slowly on the mend. Way too slowly for him. He is getting very frustrated. He still has a wound that isn't fully healed and that keeps splitting open. This is due to the radiation treatment he got in that area and then exacerbated by the sepsis infection last November. He has no infections now. He has not had any other complications or blockages for a while now. So has managed to keep himself out of more hospital stays. They are still monitoring his wound every few days. He still has pain and some days are worse than others. He can't sit, stand or walk for long. He keeps in positive spirits though and has taken over looking after the kangaroos, while I look after the rest of the farm. He feeds little Frankie every 4 hours. She has become very attached to him and stresses if he isn't around. So we made him a pouch to wear, so she can move around with him. He is in good spirits for the most part. We have come to accept that it will take a long while before he is able to do any real work around the property again.
