🌳 Romania will plant 56,000 hectares of new forest by 2026. The forest is the best tool to reduce the negative effects of #climatechange, so we need to maintain and enhance this natural treasure.

#Agenda2030:Romania has a strong commitment to work together with the global community to build a world where no one is left behind! We only have 8 years until 2030.We need to look at the needs of local communities in order to tailor sustainable development action to their needs.

Romania is gearing up for the 2030 Agenda. We presented our National Action Plan for Sustainable Development at the UN #HLPF. We will apply an integrated approach and will implement good practices in order to highlight the environmental dimension.

As part of our efforts to better rebuild after the COVID-19 pandemic, the #Romanian Government uses an integrated approach that combines investments and reforms in water and waste management, biodiversity protection and a circular economy to achieve a sustainable society. #HLPF

Heading to #HLPF2022. We need to talk about our #sustainability goals taking into account the international complexity of the subject. Our stance is that all sustainable development goals must be in line with the economic and social characteristics of our local communities.

Romania will not be the world's waste dump.
