A famous day in the history of our district as our Under 14's progress to the final of the @SchoolsFootball Champions Plate after a 3-2 win over Canterbury, with a Harry Cox winner coming a few minutes from full time. An incredible achievement from this group of players.

A huge thank you to the parents, players, teachers and coaches from @BarnsleyFa for their spirit and generosity yesterday. The boys were outstanding in the sun and only a hairline in it with the final result. We look forward to playing you again next season.

What a day. What a lesson in camaraderie and togetherness. What a lesson in self-belief. The 3rd national finalists in a stellar year. 350+ crowd at @ClitheroeFC, a great atmosphere and two good sides slugging it out. Very little to separate but HRV edged it! Very proud.

Last week, the FA and Barclays released the findings of the annual Equal Access to Football in Schools survey – and the results show encouraging progress. This year, 90% of schools offering Key Stage 2 and/or Key Stage 3 provision are now delivering equal access to football within the curriculum, up from 88% in 2024. This is a moment to celebrate as since 2020, the number of girls attending schools with equal access has risen significantly to 2.6 million (an increase of 31% since 2020/21) showing real momentum towards long-term, societal change.
