Seen a lot of comments about Mr. President’s statements regarding “ we have the best players in the world” and I’m here to make some things clearer. One name that isn’t very popular among Real Madrid fans is Aurelien Tchouameni. There are tons of Madridistas who feel he doesn’t deserve to play for this club for whatever reason. They might be right or wrong and today i’m here to shed lights on his importance to the team and why his hate is so forced. 1️⃣ Style : In today’s game the defensive midfield position is one of, if not the most important positions on the field. People prefer a deep lying playmaker to a dominant, self imposed worker who anticipates and intercepts the ball before it gets into dangerous areas. Tchouameni is the latter, he isn’t a playmaker but rather he’s positioned to make more off the ball work than on the ball. He’s an old school 6, a classic one. A Casemiro, A Makelele or maybe a Gattuso. Not necessarily a Vitinha or a Rodri or Kimmich. With that said he needs a controller and a creator by his side to flourish. For instance Casemiro had Kroos and Modric, Makelele had Guti and Zidane. With creative players like this all he has to do is to focus on his ball recoveries and leave the rest to create chances. Like we saw in his first two seasons when he played alongside Kroos and Modric. 2️⃣ Consistency: Although we’ve had major injuries in the last two seasons, He’s one of the few players who have managed to stay healthy throughout. He’s had his fair share of the brutality but he somehow manages to recover and help the team as quickly as possible. That said, since he broke through the scene at Monaco in 2021 he has never looked back. After being called into the national team to play alongside Pogba in France’s Nations League win in 2021 he’s been ever present in that team up until today and he’s one of the few untouchables in this super French team. If in anyway you think there’s no reason to that then I don’t know what else to tell you. 3️⃣ Versatility: As a Real Madrid fan you need no introduction about his versatility since we’ve seen him occupy the center back position on numerous occasions in the past three seasons and he did his possible best. 4️⃣Adaptability : Being it a three man midfield as a sole 6 or in a double pivot system with another anchorman, Aurelien Tchouameni seems to get along very well. Example, for France he’s paired with Rabiot (Pogba in the past) with a number 10 (Greizman) playing as a creator ahead of them, whereas in Madrid he plays as lone 6 with Jude and Valverde besides him. In both cases he seems to do his primary job very well which is to recover possession as many times he can. Therefore it’s the others who have to know their roles and do their jobs as well. And when it happens like that it’s easy for the team to perform. 5️⃣ Presence: As a defensive midfielder his stature gives him a unique presence in aerial and ground duels which is why he’s among the very best in the game for winning back possession which is his primary role in the team. These are some of the reasons that makes him so important to the national team and Real Madrid. You will soon witness best DM in the world shoutouts during the World Cup because with France they have a balanced midfield where everyone knows their roles whereas at Real Madrid he has to watch his midfield partners change every match day, which makes things difficult for him but manages to put up strong performances all the time. Whether you like it or not Tchouameni is one of the very best Defensive midfielders in the game right now and there’s a reason he’s always present in the Real Madrid lineup since he came in. From Ancellotti to Xabi to Arbeloa and even with Deschamps in the French National team, he’s one of the first names on the team sheet. If that doesn’t make him a world class player then you don’t know who a world class player is.💡

At the beginning of the season we all said we owe money to Benfica because he was a steal, then Vinicius happened. I never saw him as a bad player but when you are having a prolific season and some decisions are made unreasonably, it affects your confidence and performances. Same happened to KYKY, Camavinga. Mastantuono and Dean. They were all playing well and getting national team call ups until the Vinicius brouhaha. With that, the system had to change and the coach have to abide by Suspicious’ preferences, and here we are now. So if you ask me I say yes, I have full confidence in him, and not him alone. Mbappe will also terrorize defenders next season. Arda, Gonzalo and Dean are all going to do better under Mourinho. Better watch out 💡
