@hey_yall_mary So, players are forcing the owners to raise prices? I can tell you for a fact, not a SINGLE contract was agreed on without the owner knowing they would be profitable. Not one. So the idea that ticket prices are being forced up by expenses they agreed on is just not true.

Question for those in support of a MLB salary cap. What are the biggest reasons you are in favor?

@IamTrevorMay No sports salaries are more ridiculous than basketball. A team plays 8-9 guys a night and they carry 12-15 making 4-10 million for being practice players. Ticket prices are crazy. Not getting my $$.

@IamTrevorMay It’d be nice if your star player could stay with a team but it’s not my money so I don’t really care. A salary low starting # makes more sense. If you’re gonna punish w/luxury tax then have a floor.

Jake Bird would be an EXCELLENT addition to the bullpen, don’t let his ERA fool you. His peripherals are VERY good: 3.34 xERA | 3.09 FIP | 3.32 xFIP | 3.19 SIERA Not to mention he has to pitch at COORS FIELD, and he’d be coming to a Yankee team that gets the best out of relievers, where the Rockies certainly don’t.
